Makes initial connection with individuals who make significant spiritual decisions at local FamilyLife events. Serves to help connect them with a local avenue to take next steps in their faith.
To make initial connections with individuals who make a significant decision for Christ at Weekend to Remember events, to confirm and affirm salvation decisions, and to help connect new believers with a local avenue to take next steps in their faith.
1-2 hours per week, with greater requirements immediately following events.
- Must be an active group coordinator.
- Possess a basic working knowledge of the Internet, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate the gospel message using the method of their own choice (the Romans Road, the Four Spiritual Laws, Steps to Peace With God, etc.).
- Demonstrate a strong and solid personal walk with God.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relational skills.
- Consistent walk with Christ.
- By God’s grace, model godly family relationships.
- Attend and participate in area team meetings.
- Participate in team ministry efforts onsite during the Weekend to Remember.
- Contact all who indicate they received Jesus Christ during your local Weekend to Remember:
- The primary goal is to help them get plugged into a good local church; not to personally disciple everyone who made a spiritual decision.
- Allow them to share what God did in their hearts at the Weekend to Remember to bring them to a salvation decision.
- Through discussion, assess what next steps might be appropriate to help them grow in their faith.
- Utilize FamilyLife and/or Cru resource materials to help as next steps.
- Ask how you can pray for and encourage them presently, then pray with and for them.
- Follow-up as a form of encouragement and ongoing prayer support, as appropriate.
- The next level of spiritual follow-up, for those who have the capacity and calling, would be to follow up with others who indicate significant spiritual transformation during a FamilyLife event (checked another spiritual decision box, shared a life-change testimony, or indicated a significant growth jump in their marital unity).
