Ministry Position: Hosted Events Director
Reports To: Local FamilyLife Ministry Representative
Purpose: To lead a team of volunteers in the multiplication of Hosted Events, primarily The Art of Marriage and Stepping Up, within a specific geographic area, with a goal of fulfilling the vision of “every home a godly home.”
Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours per week, with some weeks requiring more and some less, depending on the plans being carried out at the time.
Length of Commitment: Minimum one year commitment with a 90-day placement review.

Additional Qualifications:
- Must have served on a local FamilyLife volunteer team for at least one full event cycle
- Must be a married couple
- Must be an active group coordinator
- Proven track record of demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven history of effectiveness and faithfulness in ministry
- Possess a basic working knowledge of the internet, email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel

- Model godly family relationships
- Pray for the team, for FamilyLife leadership, and for effective completion of this ministry
- Grow the Hosted Events Volunteer team
- Lead the team to network with local churches, Christian businesses, and other Christian organizations to multiply hosted event outreach events
- Lead the team in the creation and execution of strategic goals and plans to reach couples through hosted events
- Monitor and measure progress towards team goals and objectives
- Provide clear communication within the team
- Effectively and efficiently resolve team issues in a manner that brings closure and maintains team momentum
- Lead the team to celebrate what God does in transforming lives and families
- Serve as the primary contact for the Hosted Events Team in working with the local FamilyLife Ministry Representative
Required Training:
- Become familiar with FamilyLife hosted events and websites, with an emphasis on the Art of Marriage, the Art of Parenting, and Stepping Up.
- Personally attend (or go through) an Art of Marriage event and an Art of Marriage small group.
- Personally host a minimum of one Art of Marriage event or small group (may be done after stepping into the role).
